ABOUT

Fahrenheit Films is a Vienna-based film production company founded in 2017 by documentary filmmaker Jola Wieczorek, an Austrian artist of Polish origin. The company was established to produce her creative non-fiction films with the greatest possible artistic freedom.

Wieczorek’s work explores themes of migration, memory, and identity. She inscribes politics into the nomadic biographies of her protagonists – travellers between worlds, languages, and cultures, searching for a home that ultimately remains a place of longing.

Her debut feature, Stories from the Sea, premiered at the Viennale, earning the Max Ophüls Prize for Best Music in a Documentary and the Local Artist Award at Crossing Europe. Her second feature, Days Yet Unknown (Die noch unbekannten Tage), will premiere in January 2026 at the Film Festival Max Ophüls Preis.
